Anthony Khalil Mercado Díaz, better known to his public as "Ankhal", was born in Puerto Rico in the year 2000. At only 19 years old, the Puerto Rican has managed to become an icon for young people to the rhythm of freestyle. A baseball player by birth and a rapper for life, the Puerto Rican denied a university scholarship in the United States as an athlete to fulfill his dream and become a singer. Although he always had an interest in music and art, Ankhal began writing his verses at the age of 17 inspired by Kevin Gates. Ankhal became known professionally on the stages of FreeStyle Mania in Puerto Rico. Soon after, Ankhal released his first single, “Antijudas”, which has over 300,000 organic SoundCloud plays.
