Coldplay formed in London in 1999. The band plays pop music and alternative rock. They released their debut album Parachutes in 2000, followed by A Rush of Blood to the Head in 2002. That album included the single "Clocks." Their 2005 album X&Y featured "Fix You" and "Speed of Sound." Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends came out in 2008. Mylo Xyloto followed in 2011. Ghost Stories was released in 2014, Everyday Life in 2019, and Music of the Spheres in 2021. Their most recent album, Moon Music, came out in 2024. Coldplay won the NRJ Music Award for International Group, Duo, Troupe of the Year. The band started on Fierce Panda Records.
