Interplanetary Criminal is the UK garage producer and DJ Zach Bruce, a solo act whose records run through speed garage, breakbeat, bassline and 2-step. His first releases landed in 2017 with Out Of Body, and the run from Get Money in 2018 to All Thru the Night in 2023 tracks a producer moving from underground club tracks to records that carry a room. His catalog includes work on Room Two Recordings.
He came up in the garage-house and lo-fi scene of the North West of England, producing and DJing from 2012 and taking five years to arrive at a debut EP. In 2019 he co-founded ATW Records with Main Phase, built as a platform for contemporary UK garage and breakbeat rather than a vanity imprint.
In 2022, "B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)" reached number one in the UK, went double platinum there and picked up a BRIT Award nomination. DJ Mag named him Best DJ in 2025. His sets have run from Brockwell Park and Blackstone Street Warehouse to Radius Chicago, along with a festival appearance at No Bounds in Sheffield. That makes him a live draw for college events, festival and fair lineups, corporate parties, and private engagements looking for a DJ who can hold a floor.
