Lido is Peder Losnegård, a solo artist and producer working across R&B, hip hop, electronic music and pop. He arrived first as LidoLido, whose 2011 single "Different" put him on the map at home, and followed it with the album "Pretty Girls and Grey Sweaters" in 2012 and "Battle Poetry" in 2013. By the time "Everything" landed in 2016, the LidoLido name had given way to Lido and the focus had moved from Norwegian radio to production work with an international reach. He releases through Digital Dust.
He came up a long way from the rooms he now plays. Losnegård is from Tysvær, and "Different" became the most-played song on Norwegian station NRK P3 in 2011 before he had an audience anywhere else. SoundCloud carried the next stretch of his career, and at 21 he moved to Los Angeles to pursue music professionally.
Lido works alone, and the live show has been built on the road rather than around a band. He has taken sold-out US tours out as a solo artist, with stops that include ACL Live at The Moody Theater in Austin, South Side Ballroom and The Fillmore Auditorium. That makes him a strong fit for college programming, festival and fair lineups, corporate events, casinos and private engagements looking for an electronic and R&B act that can carry a room on its own.
